Founded in 2009 by our director Sonja with over 35 years in the beauty and skin industry, Utopia Skin and Spa was established with the most care and professional, result driven products and treatments for our clients. Along with continuous training and education, the expertise from our therapists at Utopia Skin and Spa assures you of the best possible outcomes with your treatments and skin health.

Salon Etiquette

Arriving to Your Appointment

We kindly request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to assist us in any information that we may need for the success of your treatment, while taking some time to relax in our waiting room.

If you arrive late and we have another booking after yours, we will adjust your treatment accordingly.

Please have mobile phones on silent whilst at Utopia, maybe even treat yourself and turn it off

Rescheduling, Cancellations and No Shows

Cancellation or reschedule notice is appreciated at least 24 hours in advance, in accordance with our cancellation policy. If you cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, a 25% cancellation fee will be charged on the day of the appointment.

In the event of a no show, a 50% no show fee will be charged on the day of the appointment.

Children at Utopia Skin and Spa

We kindly ask that there are no children in attendance with you at your appointment with us. This is for the children’s safety and an WH&S requirement, and ensures a relaxing experience for all of our clients.

Children 10 years & older are welcome for services/treatments only. Ages 10 to 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Thank you for choosing us for your upcoming appointment! Here are a few things to note before we see you in salon.

    • Ensure your consultation form is filled out before arriving, this is available in your confirmation email/SMS message. If this needs to be filled out in salon please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to ensure enough time, we don’t want you to rush!

    • If you have any questions regarding your booking, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we would be more than happy to help with any queries you may have.

    Facial Appointments

    • Take a break from exfoliation for the few days leading up to your appointment, this is to avoid over-exfoliating your skin as we will exfoliate for you in your facial! This includes retinol products and at-home exfoliations/scrubs.

    • Be honest with your therapist about any skin concerns and goals you may have, this will make sure your therapist can customise the right treatment for you and your skin.

    • It is in our duty of care to ensure that any treatment we provide for you is suitable and effective for you, and that there are no contraindications that may cause adverse effects. With your consultation form accurately completed our therapists are able to provide the most personalised, effective and professional service for you!

    • We will not ask you to complete a consultation card at every visit. Simply if it is your first time visiting us, some specific details are needed for a particular treatment, or if it has been some time since completing a form and some details may have changed for you.

    • Make sure to follow any specific aftercare that your therapist has recommended for you to get the most out of your treatment.

    • Avoid sun exposure and at-home treatments and actives for a few days after your treatment.

    • Stay relaxed and enjoy your glowing skin!

  • There are still many options to treat you and your skin during your pregnancy, a time when you need it most!

    • Ensure your pregnancy massage consult form is filled out before your appointment, this ensures we can move perform your appointment with the utmost care and can create the most relaxing experience for you when you need it most!

    • Please note we do not perform massage in the first trimester, please wait until you are in your second trimester and onwards to treat yourself to this.

    Facials and Other Treatments

    • Please ensure that you have let us know you are pregnant at the time of booking so we can ensure your appointment is suitable. If online, ensure this is noted on your consultation form, and include it in your appointment note.

    • for the best results, we recommend exfoliating your body the night before your appointment to help ensure an even tan.

    • make sure any waxing or shaving is done at least the day before your tan to ensure a smooth application and even development

    • arrive to your tan appointment with a clean face and body. This includes avoiding applying body moisturiser, deodorants and any sweat etc.

    • make sure you have your Techno Tan tanning dress with you to avoid creating marks after your tan! These are available for purchase in salon, otherwise make sure you have lose clothing without tight straps or anything that is hard to get in and out of.

    • Make sure you leave your tan for the time your therapist recommended, this can differ depending on the tan that is chosen at your appointment. This is your initial tan development time and is the most important part to achieving your perfect tan!

    • Apply moisturisers and tan extenders everyday from 24 hours after your tan to extend the life of your tan and avoid patchiness as your tan fades.

    • We have TechnoTan aftercare products available for purchase so you can get the best life out of your tan.
