Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a method of permanent removal of individual hairs from the face or body.

Electrolysis devices destroy the growth centre of the hair, with a mild current that is passed down the very fine needle that has been inserted into the hair follicle. By cauterising this root the way in which the hair grows is damaged, a slight sensation is felt and the hair is removed with tweezers.

Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including face, abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs. There are generally no permanent side effects, but sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur.

Hair growth can be hereditary factor and sometimes stress and certain illnesses can stimulate growth. Even normal hormonal changes at different stages in life can affect hair growth.

Multiple sessions are needed as hair has three different growing stages (growing, resting, and shedding).

Our highly qualified electrologist performs treatment session in 15min – 30min intervals depending on the amount of time required.

Our salon always uses a new Sterile Disposable Needle per treatment session. The individually packed needles remain sealed and sterile until opened for your treatment and they are immediately disposed of thereafter.
